Coverage
The Boat House
There's no tediously long drive to Cape Cod sitting in
bumper-to-bumper traffic for up to four hours. The Boat
House is quiet and secluded but is less than an hour's
drive from Boston.
Drive down a private lane and park in our gravel parking
area. Cross the lawn and a view of the ocean and waves
opens before you. In front of you is Boston's North
Shore from Nahant to Rockport. Once in the Boat House
you see the ocean and sky through giant screens. The
sounds and smells of the sea surround you.
The boat house, once built to store boats in the winter,
is an open, great-feeling beach house. It's a great place
to relax with family and friends if you like things casual.
The Boat House was built at the edge of the beach so
there is no walk to the beach! We own the beach so it's
private and great for kids to play on and explore safely.
We have tide pools with baby crabs and minnows.
The living room is 44 feet by 28 feet with a 20 foot
ceiling but comfortable; it has a table tennis table, dinner
table, and sitting area with fireplace and television so a
large group can relax and socialize. We've had numerous
birthday parties, family gatherings, and social events
here over the past 50+ years.
