Bemis Company CEO F. Gregg Bemis honeymooned in Italy in 1926
and fell in love with the Italian stucco style of architecture. Finding a
large ocean-front property on the market in 1927, he purchased the
home and spent the next year converting and expanded the wooden
shingle style structure into an Italian stucco summer residence. In
1996 the house was converted into a year round home.
